The Growler proves that the secret order of hardtail trail shredders is alive and thriving. Sure, it’s got that classic hardtail profile. But 21st-century touches across the platform reveal a future-proofed, instant classic. 29x2.6 tires for ridiculous grip. An aggressive ride character for surprising levels of confidence while descending or ripping tough trails. A refreshingly simple (and tough) package for rowdy days at the trails. More satisfying than a tropical IPA growler fill on a hot day—and way, way faster. Cheers, eh. What sets the Growler apart Holds the line Hardtail isn’t dead—so we went all out in making the Growler as capable, aggressive, and as fast as possible on rowdy, rad trails. Charge hard—the Growler’s with ya. Stubborn levels of traction Sure, the Grower rips trails fast. But for technical climbs and loose trails, we opted for big rubber and "dig-the-hell-in" geometry to ensure ridiculous levels of traction and competence over the loose and uneven stuff. So good, it’s stubborn. Monstrously fun We purpose-built the Growler around 29 x 2.6 tires. The result is a fast-rolling, hugely competent, and impossibly fun hardtail machine. Fully-internal cables and a boost rear hub really tie the room together on any trail, too.

Big adventures require a bike that can rise to the occasion. Arctodus is named after Arctodus simus, an Ice Age behemoth that was the largest bear to ever walk the Earth. Like its namesake, Arctodus the bike is versatile, strong, and ready to explore. It has adjustable geometry, a durable steel frame, a massive front triangle for a frame bag, lots of cargo mounts, and can clear the biggest fat bike tires on the market. Arctodus is ready for afternoon exploration, polar expeditions, and everything in between. THE BIGGEST TIRE CLEARANCE Arctodus was built around a 26" x 4.8" tire for optimal handling and control on loose trails. It can fit the biggest fat bike tires in the world. The biggest fat tire on the market is 26" x 5.05" and Arctodus eats them like a snack with room to spare. Same as 27.5" x 4.5", which is the biggest 27.5" tire available. Arctodus is the only bike to clear tires this big with a 12-speed drivetrain without chain interference. When a bike is created for big rides with fresh snow, it needs to fit tires that were designed for the same reason. This is a bike that prays for snow and cuts its own trail. ONE BIKE, THREE WHEELBASE LENGTHS A key feature in all Otso bikes is adjustable geometry and the ability to adapt the bike for the ride ahead. The patented Tuning Chip rear dropout system can change wheelbase length by up to 20mm, raise or lower the bottom bracket height by up to 4mm, and change the head tube angle by +/.5º. Use the rear position when the trails are loose and you need as much control as you can get. Use the front position when the snow is firm and the trails let you take turns with a little speed. No matter the conditions, Arctodus has an answer. DESIGNED FOR EXPLORING There's no need to wait for the trail groomer. Arctodus was made for foot trails, forest paths, and snow-covered frozen lakes. The bombproof steel frame can withstand the demands of an expedition. A large front triangle can fit a healthy full frame bag. The carbon fork has mounts on either side for cargo. A rear frame can be attached via mounts on the seat stays and Tuning Chip hardware. Even the geometry is catered for exploration, with extra trail for optimal flotation and bottom bracket height that will ride above deeper snow. Whether you're exploring local trails or a national forest, you can trust Arctodus to keep you riding. NARROW Q FACTOR Arctodus has a 100mm bottom bracket. This is 30-40mm narrower than other fat bikes that have the same tire clearance. Ride with massive tires without compromising handling. SUSPENSION CORRECT All Otso frames feature suspension-corrected geometry. Arctodus is compatible with suspension forks that have up to 120mm of travel. A few options are available on the Custom Bike Builder. STABILITY & FLOTATION Arctodus geometry was designed for optimal riding on fresh trails. The 68º head tube angle paired with massive tires gives Arctodus more trail than other fat bikes. Even the BB height was selected for clearance in deep snow. DROPPER COMPATIBLE Snowy trails are good with dropper posts, too. A port near the bottom bracket fits a cable and housing for a cable-actuated dropper post.

"Fun things happen when a bike is designed to be as versatile as its rider. Waheela C is a carbon-framed drop bar bike with an adjustable geometry, unrivaled ride quality, suspension-corrected geometry for a suspension fork, and enormous tire clearance for 700c x 54mm, 650b x 54mm, or 29" x 2.1" tires. It also has extra frame and fork mounting points for bottles and racks, easily accessible internal cable routing options, compatibility for 1x or 2x electronic or mechanical drivetrains, and the ability to run a dropper post. When the same bike can be found racing Unbound, riding Tour Divide, hopping CX barriers, loaded up for weekend overnighters, and cruising weekly group rides, the performance-first versatility speaks for itself." These bikes are available for demo at the shop so you can try before you buy.

This particular build features a Sram AXS "Mullet" drivetrain (Sram Rival AXS road shifters paired to a GX AXS derailleur for a much larger range of gears). Perfect for tackling steep climbs or allowing you to run a larger front chainring without losing too many low gears. These bikes are available for demo at the shop so you can try before you buy.

The Otso Warakin is a shop favorite here at Hitchhiker Bikes. Unique looks, loads of tire clearance, amble rack mounting options, and a smooth, comfortable ride make this bike an obvious choice for all your gravel and bikepacking needs. PLEASE NOTE THAT ACCENT COLORS MAY VARY. Give us a call if you have a preference or want to know what color headset, seat post clamp, and bolts the bike will come with. STAINLESS STEEL The supple and smooth ride quality of steel meets the corrosion resistance and lively feel of titanium. Stainless steel is lighter than you think, loads of fun, and ready for your next full day on the saddle. It's a frame material that is as unique and seldom used as it is versatile and excellent for multiple types of riding. TIRE CLEARANCE 700c? Check! 650b? Double check! 29er? Triple check! Warakin Stainless has massive tire clearance because no two roads are the same. The Warakin Stainless has clearance for 700c x 51mm, 650b x 51mm, or 29" x 2.1" tires. Race gravel with 700c x 38mm semi-slicks, then swap in 29" x 2.1" for that bikepacking trip with gnarly trails without needing to ride a different bike. TUNING CHIP The Tuning Chip rear dropout system allows for adjustable bike geometry by changing the wheelbase by up to 20mm, bottom bracket height by up to 4mm, and head tube angle by 0.2º. This means you can easily switch between a bike with the responsive, agile handling of a shorter wheelbase and a bike with the confidence and stability of a longer wheelbase just by flipping the Tuning Chip. Use the back position for stability and confidence with its longer wheelbase, lower bottom bracket, and slack head tube angle. The front position is ideal for winding singletrack or the CX course with its shorter wheelbase, higher bottom bracket, and steeper head tube angle. The center position is the best of both worlds. TOP PERFORMER Unparalleled ride quality results from the combination of stainless steel and carefully thought out frame geometry. The Warakin Stainless was designed by our engineers in Minnesota and manufactured by top steel frame fabricators in Taiwan. PROGRESSIVE GEOMETRY Warakin's progressive geometry takes a page from the cross-country MTB playbook. Increased top tube length and a shorter stem maintain stack and reach while providing a lively 'can-do' attitude on rougher terrain. DROPPER FRIENDLY A small port near the bottom of the seat tube allows for the cable routing of a dropper post. If you don't ride with a dropper, you probably won't even notice the port. FOR THE LONG HAUL Numerous frame braze-ons allow Warakin to accommodate cable routing clamps, three water bottles, fenders, racks, frame bags, and more. Three braze-ons on either side of the fork allow for additional storage.

After much anticipation, the updated Forbidden Dreadnought is here! From Forbidden: "Dreadnought forged a new path for performance high pivot bikes and cemented the platform’s category-defying nature. It dealt handily with the demands of the World Cup Downhill circuit, revelled in the rigours of enduro racing, and endured lap after lap of abuse in the bike park, while still craving more. From the race track to the bike park and everything in between, Dreadnought has proven its unparalleled versatility. Now it’s time for the big guns to get the V2 treatment. Dreadnought V2 carries the torch forward into a new realm of capability, giving riders even more firepower than ever before. We’ve taken our next-gen suspension system, seen on the class-leading Druid and Supernought, and applied it to our revered brawler of a bike. We didn’t just up the calibre, add more travel, and call it good. We overhauled every detail to refine and distill its purpose into something that exhilarates. From the helm of the Dreadnought, you see no obstacles, only opportunities. Fear Nothing."

The Darco rolls on 29” wheels and has 150mm of travel up front paired with a stout 120mm in the rear, a hardtailers full-suser if you will. Our geometry philosophy has carried right over onto this bike, pairing slack head tube angles (64°) and steep seat tube angles (78°), with ample room up front (490mm reach on M/L). Perfect for the type of terrain we have in the Sea to Sky, steep climbs and steeper descents. We are big fans of steel bikes here at the shop and we have spent plenty of time aboard the Darco and Lowdown. Feel free to give us a call if you want to chat about these unique bikes.

HAUL ASS, NOT CARGO In 2019, Áspero took the gravel world by storm, heralding a “new era of speed in gravel.” Fun, but flat out. The new Áspero remains true to its original brief, but with some improvements: a threaded BB shell, neater cable routing, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger for those who want to use SRAM’s Transmission drivetrains. And it’s more aero, of course. In the case of Áspero, aerodynamic performance is less about pure speed as a result of drag reduction, and more about conservation of energy. After a big day in a headwind, the three watts saved over the previous Aspero might add up to one less energy gel your stomach has to digest—WORTH IT. In addition to the drag reduction, we also dropped the seat stays to give a bit more compliance out back, and reduced front-end stiffness slightly to make the last hours of a long race less painful. Between those dropped seat stays, we added in a bit more clearance for mud, too, taking what we learned from R5-CX (and the Unbound mudfest in 2023). It’s a lot of seemingly small improvements, but they add up to a lot. The result is a bike that feels a lot like the original Áspero, but is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile. THREADED BOTTOM BRACKET Aspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket we pioneered on R5-CX. It’s a simple, rider-serviceable interface that allows us to deliver the benefits of BBRight in a more user-friendly form. UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGAR We used SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) standard on the new Aspero. It’s ideal if you want to live your best ‘business in the front, party in the back’ life with one of SRAM’s Transmission drivetrains today, and ensures compatibility for future drivetrain developments. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Aspero shares the same bearing dimensions as R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia, which means you can use any combination of bearing caps and stems. Want a super-racy, fully-internal look? Grab the ST31 and HB13 from R5.
